Please Help with NAV

I did the V27 upgrade and It's great however I do have one problem. Once the accept screen goes away, The "Please wait a moment" message stays up for 30 minutes or more sometime. What could be the cause of this? What can I do to fix this?

Mine did that but it had to do with pairing bluetooth. Soon as I turned off bluetooth in the phone and let the car sit for 15 min it went away. Not sure if this will help though.

This is often caused by a faulty map CD/DVD - usually when using low grade DVD+/- R media after burning your own map disk. Try copying your current map disk onto a good quality DVD+R using Imgburn or UltraISO.....

Good Morning All,

I replaced the fuse and disconnected the battery and now the "Please wait a moment" message comes up every second or third time I drive the car. Any suggestions?

Do you have an original or burn copy of the nav disk? The "Please wait a moment" message is frequently an indication that the system is having difficulty reading the nav disk. Try cleaning the disk or putting in another one.

Does the NAV system require using a cleaning disk from time to time?

Lightbulb Delay in reading map disc.

Perhaps if you are living in a frigid climate, especially during the evening hours the map disc, including discs in your CD changer will have a thin film of condensation on them. Once the temperature of the rear trunk area rises, the condensation should dry and you should not experience this. If your rear seas fold down, then make sure the rear vent is open and blows warm air into the trunk area with rear seat folded down to expose the trunk, if problem goes away sooner than before this is it. By the way v28 is available in the navigation area of this site which is most recent operating system release.

Good Luck.
