Is there a second generation Mk 4 ?

Hi guys,

Saw a Mk 4 DVD sat nav head unit advertised as an auction in uk on ebay

I thought it looked a bit odd.

The layout at front varies from other Mk4 units I have seen. ( compare it to the Mk 4 unit in the nav faq http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all-...ystem-faq.html)

Anyway the listing is below

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...6171&rd=1&rd=1

Views comments appreciated.

The listing is incorrect; that is not a MKIV. That is the nav computer for an E65/E66, which is entirely different. It is either a NAVI02 or NAVI03.

Yep

Be very careful when buying used Navs - I was bitten by inadequate research. Best thing to do is get a photo of the BMW part number off the unit and compare it to a list of known Mk4 part numbers.
