I have the same problem BUT I changed my radiomodul to BM54 a half year ago, everything worked perfect until now. I could see the list of radiostations with RDS without any problem. Now I can see only ONE radiostation. If I use buttons left/right arrows for manual search I can find another stations and even see RDS information on the top of monitor BUT in the main window of screen is only one station "LOCAL-L". Actualy I didn't fix this problem yet...
My car is E39 530 ECE LHD Automatic 06.2001 with navi (MK4) and TV, BM54.

Hi
As promised I have now installed the new Antenne Amp. for my E39 Touring and everything works the way it was supposed to ;-)
So thank you very much for guiding me the right direction.

Hi,
I want NAV Retrofit my 2004 X5 4.4 USA version imported to Europe.
I switched Radio to Euro and everythinks work OK.
Which radio module I have to buy BM53 or BM 54?
I have no DSP and Onboard-Computer, can I retrofit without them?

Hi,

i had last week the same problem at a update from a BM24 to a BM54.
The problem was the antenne adapter from the BM24 to the BM54
Some how the antenne wire was broke, the little small wire in the middle of the coax.

gr. Appy
