How to burn 2007.2 Nav DVD???

Hi there - new to board - quick question...

I downloaded the 4.3 gigabyte ISO of the 2007.2 Nav dvd - however when i goto burn it in Toast - it says it is a CD ROM XA iso and can't be burned onto DVD - does anyone know what that means? there is not alot of info online about CD ROM XA... ???

i was successfully able to burn the OS v29 software to CD - and it too is a CD ROM XA file (as indicated by toast) but since i used a CD and NOT a DVD it worked..

but i can't imagine i can put 4.3 gigs on a CD .......

thanks for any assistance...

thanks, i'll try that - surprised Toast can't do it... though not surprising.. cause the OS cd i made is not recognized by my Nav - maybe imageburner will work for that too..

well imageburner seems to be working for the 2007.2 DVD - however, didn't work for the v29 OS - however, just going to use a PC for that - lots more options...

2007.2 Nav Dvd

Hello Ben,

Would you mind telling me from where you downloaded this 2007.2 DVD? I've been looking for this and can't find here in this forum.

Thanks

Yeah, the DVD uses some strange ISO format instead of UDF. And it's even stranger because it's a mixed of the original ISO (filenames 8+3) and Jouliet (long filenames).

I've tried several times to generate my own ISO image (e.g. copy DVD to harddisk, edit files, then generate a new ISO) and was never successful. The only way is to use windows software to directly edit the ISO and then burn it.

This also means that Toast doesn't understand nor like ISO in DVD, so it just refuses to burn the image.

Got to use windows for it. I've used Alcohol 120% or something and it worked ok.

PS: I've just seen the NA 2007.02 DVD online, but not yet the european maps

bit torrents - do a google search for 'bmw nav torrent' or something like that - i was going to send you the link where i got it - but 1. sure that's not allowed here - and 2. it's seemingly gone - just finding 2007.1 version

it actually burned with ImageBurner for OSX - though yet to see if it the MKIV reads it...
