help finding parts...

I have an '03 4.4 x5 and I am doing a nav retrofit. I currently have only the stock cd player. I have gathered all the parts but a few and the few are quite crucial to the install but I can't find them anywhere (tried the dealer and Crevier). So I was wondering if someone could helpe me find a substitute or help me locate the parts. The 3 crucial parts that I am specifically looking for are:
  • Top on board monitor holder (support bracket) #65908385987
  • Right on board monitor holder (bracket) #65900140347
  • Left on board monitor holder (bracket) #65900140348
If anyone can help me out, please let me know.

Nick

What did your dealer and Crevier tell you? Are they no longer available, backordered, or just not in Crevier's local warehouse?

Pacific BMW still lists these as valid parts on thier site, so I would assume that they are out there and available. Also, I have had very good service with Hammersley BMW in VA. Justin (434-455-7437) in their wholesale parts depertment is very helpful.

Wow, I just ordered the parts off pacific BMW. That was easy, hopefully I don't get a call saying the parts are no longer available.
Thank you

My nightmere came true. The parts are still listed but no longer available. I have purchased everything for this retrofit besides the brackets that hold the nav to the dash and I have searched high and low and can't find them anywhere. It seems like alot of people have done this project, how were you able to do it without these parts or where did you find them? Can anyone shed some light? Any help is appriciated.

Those brackets aren't a must have. See http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all-...-retrofit.html for an alternative way to mount and secure it.

Does the "quick and dirty" option work for virgin nav retrofit as well. I don't want to start ripping apart my dash until i am confident. Is there anyone in the Seattle area who has done this that may want to lend a helping hand. I would be willing to compensate with a nice steak dinner or something. THanks all for your help.
