easiest place to tap ibus on X5?

So I've downloaded Navcoder (thanks Jochen!), and have bought myself an Ibus /RS232 interface card (from Mr Resler), now all I need to do is try and hook it up to the Ibus.

I have searched thru here and it seems the easiest place is "on the CD changer".. however for those of us that are electrically challenged,..does that mean I unplug from the CD and can plug into the pins on my interface card.. or do I have to splice wires etc?...
I guess I have to remove the CD player as well?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Splicing if you want to keep the changer on the bus, or you can remove the changer and use the 3-pin connector for the ibus interface.
