Navcoder: Mono 2 Color?

Hi everyone,

I whas wondering that anyone succeeded this recoding with Kiwijochen's software, because i could not find confirmation in a post?
Tuesday i have to try this with a friends Monochrome MK4!
Out of the comments i understand that when you use this neat great program you just have to code it with 3 languages and that's it?
I know when i coded mine (change language etc.) i have to put the os disc in, when this command comes up on my screen, but how do you know when to put the disc in when it does not shows on the screen?

Thanx in advance

Regards

Joël

In terms of loading the software: send the command from NavCoder, wait until the nav shows no activity - this is the nav waiting for you to load the CD - insert the CD, and wait for it to be ejected again. You'll hear the nav accessing the disc and loading the software. When the disc is ejected, remove it and click the nav rotary button on the display. The nav will reboot.

Note that noone has yet succeeded in doing this recode, even though NavCoder emulates the GT1 procedure. I am not sure why there has been no success.....???? Let me know how you get on.

Thnx for the reply Jochen

The navigation unit whas not an mk4 but mk3, i tried and tried but no succes!
I even phoned with a friend mechanic @ BMW garage and asked him to use the gt1 but the gt1 whas stolen, but he told me that i could come over to try it there with the mainpc and he told me that maybe i have to use v17 and then code it to default?
Then i found a thread where someone explained to use a modified v22 and force it to use colour instead mono!
So gonna try that tomorrow!
I hope you find a way to do this thru your navcoder, it should be great!!

Thanx again and gonna keep you updated

Grts

Joël
