Burning Nav Disc

I am trying to burn a copy of my 2007.1 disc using ImgBurn and am not finding the iso file on the disc. The following instructions were posted in another thread:

"Open ImgBurn
Menú Mode - ISO - Write
In "Source - select a file..." - click on the icon with the yellow folder
Select "Image_file_name.ISO" - Open
In "Destination" it will show the model of DVD recorder, if you have various select where you want to record.
In "Settings - Write Speed", select "1x" (I go no higher than 4x speed)
Put a blank DVD into DVD recorder and "ImgBurn" will activate the gray button bottom-left to record it

ImgBurn : http://www.imgburn.com/

Hope this helps."

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

Those instructions are for writing a disc not reading a disc.

There is no .iso file on the disc, the iso file is the disc, compressed into a single file that is then saved on to your hard disc.

You then use this compressed file to create new discs.

So procedure to read, (i'll asume you have imgburn installed)

run imgburn,

Set mode "read" (third tab, along top)
Click on the destination (browse for a file icon)
Type in a name (in any dir that you want)
Put cd/dvd in drive
Press bottom icon (that looks like a cd-> cd on paper)
That will read a dvd and write it to a iso image (on you pc)
Eject dvd.
Close imgburn

So procedure to write,

Open imgburn

Set Menú Mode - ISO - Write
In "Source - select a file..." - click on the icon with the yellow folder
Select "C:\filename.ISO" - Open
In "Destination" it will show the model of DVD recorder, if you have various select where you want to record.
In "Settings - Write Speed", select "1x" (i go no higher than 4x speed)
Put a blank DVD into DVD recorder and "imgburn" will activate the gray button bottom-left to record it

Hope this helps

Thanks

Thanks - I finally figured out that I needed to create the ISO first but for some reason ImgBurn couldn't write it sucessfully. I was able to do it with DVD Decrypter and it worked fine.

Your problem is probably DVD media that you use, My MK IV only likes DVD-R and Verbatim

Personally I think media plays a small factor. you'll need to burn using 4x or slower and DVD-R... I havent had any luck with DVD+-RW nor DVD+r

Same problem for me with 2008-1. I burned a few DVD's over the years, but 08-01 won't work. I never had such problems. Tryed + and -, RW and not RW, a few manufacturers, other ISO's, mount ISO, make a new one out of it... Nothing helps.

I buy it now. Damn...
