I purchased my 16:9 screen from naviandbmwparts and had very good success with him. The nav screen was in nearly new condition. I would highly recommend him, but I really do not want to know where the screens came from

I would recommend him also. I hope the parts "fell off a truck" and they weren't pulled out of one!

Peep the Navigation Retrofit article on the front page, and search the forums for King's recent post about the 2nd. retrofit he's done.

Post a pic and I'll tell you whether it came from my X stolen in Poland

Anyway I hear that Germany has a major problem with stolen X's, met a guy from BMW on the plane from Frankfurt yesterday who was actually going to ID over 200 recovered BMW's that have accumulated by the border patrol in Poland. Apparently he has to check the VIN validity against major components before thay can be released to insurance companies or owners as VIN theft is rampant over here as well and I hear its up and coming in the States now.

Sold mine on ebay weeks ago. You oughta be able to get one there for around $100-$150 if you want one.
