Unhappy Lost TMC since v28

I wonder if anyone can help? I lost it when I upgraded to get perspective view. All worked fine in v24 but now I get green TMC but no traffic messages! Any ideas? M3 with MarkIV dvd nav.

welcome to the forum mate,

You may need to setup tmc again, as sometimes the tmc settings get lost when you update.

go to the menu, gps, info, (or traffic info) then turn on RDS/TMC.

Then press the info button and turn on TMC there as well.

Hope this helps

Hi,

I did just try that, unfortunately no joy, perhaps it's the disc I put in my 2004 dvd and its working fine (although missing m6 toll road etc. ) Need to get hold of a 2007 if possible, did I see main dealers are doing them on a £90 trade in deal?

Blueworld3, If the disc is TMC enabled, it should work as described, regardless of OS revision, As long as its enabled in the two places and the TMC channel is set, it should work.

I also would not downgrade to v27.1, v28.1 maybe, but v28.1 onwards has to many advantages over v27.1 for it to be worth it, IMHO.

Is the 2004 disc TMC enabled? (I'm not sure it is)
Have you set the TMC channel to Classic?

BTW, The Dealer exchange price is £99, when you buy the upgraded map disc. (£60 for the CD).

As has been said, make sure you select "Classic" as the TMC source. It is the only radio station in the UK transmitting the TMC data.
