Upgrading MkIII to MkIV

Can this be done with software or is it a hardware thing?

If its hardware how much would it cost in the UK?

It's basically plugging in a new Mk4 Navicomp - exactly the same plugs & sockets on both variants.

Expect to pay £350 to £450 for a good or new Mk4 - but make sure you check with the vendor that it is coded for a COLOUR screen, not the mono Radio Nav (orange screen in the radio) - it can be fudged to work, but you are better getting the correct one to start with.

I MAY have a good used Mk4 available in the next week or so - depending on what happens with my trade-in for an X3.

Having used both the Mk3 and Mk4, the Mk4 is 100 times faster/better!
