I just purchased TomTom's 2012 DVD maps along with a "custom" firmware
(V.32.2, shows 4-1/02 when in "screen" mode, for my '06 M3 with an MKIV.
I purchased it from BMW MK4 NAVIGATION DVD DISC HIGH PROFESSIONAL IDRIVE ROAD MAP 2011 UPDATE, who advertised they would change the boot
splash screen to 12 choices they have, along with adding the feature of "Red Light
Traffic Cameras" and "Speed Traps". The only thing that worked was the splash change, which I know how to do myself.
Long story short, what DVD map version do I need to buy to enable the "Camera On" function under "screen", which actually works and shows you a list of speed traps and stationary traffic cameras? I'm spending way too much time on this, and hope someone can help....thanks in advance.

First off, what car do you have???
Second, which is it HIGH or IDRIVE?? it's one or the other.

Neither, if them discs are the ones I think they are they are for Europe only not the USA.

"Camera on" is a hack that uses the language option from the set menu, since the USA uses many languages, then I did not make a version for the USA for release (I only made one for the UK, as we have the same 3 langs regardless of region).
You will need to make one for the USA yourself, (please read the POSion thread on how to do this).

If megaupload was still active (no longer thanks to the FBI), then I could have pointed you to a one I made for another US forum member.

Read the Poison thread and go from there.

I drive a 2006 E46 M3, with the "HIGH" version maps....
I did read the Posion thread, but saw no mention of making your
own database of Stationary Traffic Cameras or Known Speed Traps
for the NY area (Long Island specifically).
I'll try to find another Poison post....
Thank you..
