To be fair, we don't know it is a bug.

If BMW delierately removed the function of displaying suburb names, then the software would be working perfectly, and there would be no bugs to fix....

Remember, a bug is when something does not work as it is designed to do, and if we don't know what the design specifications are, we cannot really say something is a 'bug'...
