NAV possiblities?

ok WHY doesnt BMW have a general search feature?
I want to be able to type in the name of a place and the nav to find it. Without going through sub menus, that is just rediculous

I would also like to be allowed to find other car places other then a bmw center???????????

You could always compile an entire list of all POIs and have then in an 'All' category, then search through them....

Depending on how many POIs exist on your disc, and how much empty disc space you have, this may or may not be achievable.

Just kidding - basically, you can only search in groups. If you modified the groups on your Nav disc to include an "All" category that had the contents of every other group in it then you could search without sub-menus.

As for other service centers, why? Are you going to take it a Chevy dealer?

If you are looking for gas, etc, those are under Services...

Yes, this is an ongoing adventure of mine right now and I've gotten quite far at resolving the problem. See here:

Would you please be kind enough to share how you added the image to the search screen?

It's just a simple IMAGE tag placed into the HTML code of the search pages on the map data disc. The Pimp-My-Nav program has the ability to do it for you automatically if you're not familiar with the HTML language.
