MK4 Navigation computer for 2005 X5 4.4

I have a 2005 X5 4.4 lit and I need some help to under stand different MK4 navigation computers. My nav computer has been stolen and I want to buy a new one. I see lot of them on e-bay used or refurbished. But they are different part number from which my dealer ship gave me (about 6 of them ). In discription of all these MK4 nav unit say they are compatible with my X5 , but are previously removed from different Bmrs .

Here is a nav computer buyer's guide that talks about the differences between the various computers. There are many for sale used that are mis-identified as a MKIV. Those are typically the NAVI02 and NAVI03 unites that only work with the E65/E66. Every computer correctly identified as a MKIV will work with your car.

Here is a list of valid MKIV part numbers that would all work. This list is not all inclusive, but it is a very good start.
