Hello

Does anyone know what the CD/DVD unit(the macanical and the laser lens) in the MKIV is(name/company) or if its possible to buy that part alone(not full MKIV computer)

Best regards

Hi !

I have changed mine a few days ago

You can find in ETK all what you need
Just choose E60 and go to 65 Group,
look for CCC spare parts \DVD

regards

Oldhotliner,

The MK4 is not suitable with E60! MK4 is not CCC compatible.

Matrix,

If you have older ETK, you won't find the DVD part in the group 65.
The part number is:
65 83 0 413 509

I don't think so. You can see, that the CCC DVD part is only suitable with newer (non iBus, but MOST) modells.
By the way I have a business CCC DVD unit, I checked, that inside the unit the DVD part has a different type of connector, what the mk4 DVD unit has (inside the unit).

MKIV, CCC, and NAVIxx parts are not the same and not compatible. Everything is different between these different systems, and you can not use parts in cars designed around the other systems.

Going back to Matrix's original post, I believe that he is looking for the internal CD/DVD loading and reading mechanism for his MKIV. That is not sold as a separate part by BMW. Therefore, he would have to buy a broken MKIV and scavange the part from another unit. He would not be able to use internal parts from a CCC nav computer or a NAVI02 or NAVI03. They are different.

This is not valid info.
The CD/DVD player part is available separately by BMW for mk3 and also for mk4!
For mk3 the part no. is: 65 83 0 413 507
For mk4 the part no. is: 65 83 0 413 509
Check it, if you don't believe. :-)

Tanks fro you help i did find the part number on a onlineversion of ETK

The price for the part from BMW i Germany is 507€

I did also finde the unit here
http://www.powercomponents.nl/websho...ode=DVD+M3+4.6
here is the price 129€

My MK4 was send in for repair in Denmark thy want almost 900€ to repair it, and the only thing they would do i changing the DVD reader itself.
But i dident want it repaired for that amount. When i get i home yesterday
i couldent even read CD anymore, so now its shiped to Siemens/VDO again

Its interesting to se what its ending up with
