When I got around to try programming a destination this past weekend, I found that I get the map instructions fine, but I get no audio from the nav. If I have the radio or iPod playing, the audio goes down in level for a few seconds as I approach an indicated turn, but there is no audio instructions from the nav unit. I've tried setting the nav volume (in the settings menu) all the way up and there is no effect. The only clue is that the audio was there before the battery was replaced and now everything is OK except the nav audio is missing. Any ideas where to look? Am I missing a setting somewhere? |

I have head some issues with audio on my E46 330 Cab, i never figured out what it was, however everything went to normal if i reseted the car. (dissconnect -wire, blackone from the battery for a while) some say 15-20 min, some have to dissconnect for hour or so, to be on the safe side you can do it over night, in the morning when you reconnect everything should be fine.
Keep us posted on the progres

Double check your wiring harness. Pin's 5/11 of the black sub-connector in the radio harness should be yellow/red and yellow/brown respectively. That is the feed from the Nav unit. Could be that someone messed up the wiring during an install (although lord knows how...)
