MK3 + 16:9 Upgrade problem

Hi all

I have just upgraded my MK1 + 4:3 Screen to a MK3 + 16:9 Screen.

But the picture in all (navi, tel, computer etc), are still all in 4:3 format.

I think that my current TV Tuner / Video Module does not support 16:9 television.

but but but... Should all the other things (like my boardcomputer, audio etc) not been shown in 16:9 after the upgrade?
Or does it run together witn the video module, or do I just need the items to be coded ?

Anyone ?

My car is an 530D from 99 .

Hmmmmmmmm
You should do update of you MK3, only later software supports 16:9
You will have issues with TV untill you change tuner

Welcome to the forum Thomas,

I think E5M1R is right, get hold of a v29/v30 firmware disc (or download it from here) and update to the latest for the MK3 (v23?), it should sort out the non TV issues, but you will need to update the tv module at some point.

Update to SW 4-1/91 (V30) and you need a 16:9 Videomodule.
Is it a screen with Casette or CD?
BM24 or BM54?

What has BM (radio module got to do with it?

Hi
Just updated the system with version 29 (v23 on my MK3)
But still same problem ... My radiomodule is BM24

Do I need to disconnect the battery in 15 minuts ? (not tryied yet)

I will soon buy a TV Tuner with 16:9 tuner, but until I just would like the navi-part and computer to be in 16:9.

You need a 16:9 Videomodule for sure.
If you have a cd player behind your 16:9 screen you also need a BM54 Radiomodule and a wiring link cable from BM24 wiring to BM54.

I do only have a nice casette-deck behind the screen

I will buy a 16:9 Tv tuner / Radiomodule very soon, but until then I would
like to view the boardcomputer / GPS in 16:9 if possible .

If you have your MK III connected right it will show in 16:9 mode after update. Tv tuner will only interfear with 16:9 and go to 4:3 when you watch tv, so let me put this clearly for you, Your problem right now is not TV or Radio module, When MK 3 is connected right it is the primary video suorce. If you can se Navigation menu on your nav screen and you updated the software in MK3 then check wires or something becouse it should work.
