I want to upgrade my nav to this new version, but am worried about skipping revs. I am at 1-4/20 right now. Can I skip straight to 30 or 31?

Thanks for the info... I am using imgburn to do this. What is mode2? Also does anyone know if I need to convert the .nrg file to something else or will imgburn handle this?

Hi All,
I'm a little confused about using the download for V31. I downloaded from the above site and saved it on my desktop as NavigationV31.rar I then downloaded imgburn and used the "Write files/folders to disc" option to transfer NavigationV31.rar to a CD-R disc. I have ended up with NavigationV31.rar on the disc but, on reading other posts, I'm not sure if this is the correct format that the DVD reader in the X5 (2005 model) will read and successfully update my nav' computer.
I'm a little reluctant just to stick it in and hope for the best.
Regards and Thanks
Colin.

.rar is a compressed file, download winrar to open it and extract the file.

You have to unpack the .rar file first (I used WinRar to unpack mine). Then, ImgBurn can recognize the .nrg file that is unpacked from using WinRar from the .rar file.

Why use this version, no improvements however. Newer does not always mean better. Just the kick that the version number is higher ???
