MK4 unit No signal? I hope.

I am new to this so please be patient. I bought a used mk4 Nav unit to replace my mk3. Connected it up and it is stuck in the place where I bought it.
It will move around as I drive, ie the north arrow moves in the direction I am travelling, but still stays put.
As the title says, I am hoping it is just an antenna problem, the smb connector has seen better days, BUT could there be another reason why it is stuck like this?
I have ordered a new gps antenna to try, waiting for it to arrive.

Thanks
Rob

And the software is SW 4-1/00 is this version 32?? or 31?
