Oh: and you CANNOT change the RR Mk3 to load BMW SW.

The bootloader program is hard-coded in the EEPROM to look for and load the RR bootloader only. I tried many tricks but could never get it to load BMW OS.

What version is currently loading in your RR Mk3?

I think 3-1/31 was the last ever version made for the RR Mk3.
Someone correct me if I am wrong...

I want to change the splash screen to BMW, so I would need to downgrade to an older version. Then reload 1/31?

The nav won't load new SW if there is no version change.

So either change the version yourself, or first go back to an old version. Has the same effect

Yes, I am aware. I either want a newer version or older version of what I have so I can edit the splash screen

I burned the disc tonight using imgburn and the MK3 crashed, black screen and no power light on the Nav unit.

HELP how do I fix this???

I tried the two methods to remove a stuck disc and neither worked. What do I do now or did I fry my MK3?

I was able to get the disc out of the drive. Now I have no power light, and the eject button doesn't illuminate any. I also just have a black screen on the monitor. What do I do to try to recover the MK3 unit?
