Okay, I'll try that. Also I have heard people say that you can go to the dealer and they can recode it for you, or you can code it yourself using navcoder? Does anyone have step by step instructions on using navcoder? thanks!

Quote:
1. Select languages 2. Click the 'Code' button 3. Insert OS CD when prompted and follow onscreen instructions Try it! You can download and install it easily on any PC, for free, and then explore all options at your leisure, without being connected to your car. |

Don't you have to hook your laptop into the car to use navcoder? Maybe I'm wrong... thanks for the info tho.

You gotta be connected to the car , but You can try out NavCoder ( just look through the options to see what it can do ) without hooking up to your BMW - I guess that's what was on Jochen's mind .
