v31 + 2008.1 NAV = ?

So I updated to v31 (w custom splash logo of course)
and bought the newest DVD (2008.1)

All set to get a new birds eye view or something new,
but there are no changes that I see (just put it all on tonight)

I am missing something ? Is there some double-secret-probation
menu that unlocks some new feature or whatever ?

My 3 year old subdivision still has not made it on the map either

It's a MK IV system.

did you switch on perspective mode in the menu?
On the monitor main menu, select settings, then press and hold the menu button for 10 seconds. Scroll down to perspective, turn it on.
Now in map mode you can select Perspective, along with the usual North, or Travel Direction.

There actually is a double-secret-probabion technique to unlock perspective view. Barney Rubble gave the secret for that.

Contact www.navteq.com about your neighborhood. They have a form on their web site where you can enter missing or incorrect roads. They are generally responsive, and will typically have the update for the next map release.

But wait, that perspective mode is an old trick.

Is there any reason to upgrade to V31 on the 07 X3?
What's changed?/????

Yes.

The V31 contains bug fixes for the Mk4 nav

As the only current production vehicles left using the Mk4 are the X3 and the Z4, it is safe to assume the bug fixes are for fixing bugs that specifically apply to these vehicles.

Therefore I strongly recommend upgrading to V31 to obtain the 4-1/100 version for your X3

hello where can i get the latest version on the Navi and is that also applicable to BMW 525i and Japan Location also?

If that is available in Japan show me the steps by steps procedures on how to burn on DVD and or Update to the Old Navi..

Pls need your responce.

Japan uses a special navigation system made by Alpine that is ONLY used in Japan, and is very different to the navigation computer used in the rest of the world.

You have to find some Japanese contacts to see if you can get a newer Japan navigation computer.

Also, I do not know how the Japanese navigation computer loads software - you should ask your local Japanses BMW expert.
