small or big problem?//
when he goes to navigation the map shows he is 400 km away we change the cd in his mk4 but the problem is there what do you think guys ? its the dvd the gps antena or something else as i said the cd map from his car iss ok in mine thanks |

Antenna/receiver problem...... check signal level in service menu..... and connection of cable from antenna to navi unit

I fixed the same problem with a new antenna.
Else could it be the GPS part in your MK4 whos dead. After installed my own MK3, it tooked about 25 minutes before it got the right possision. You can try to push "Set" in the main screen, and just after keep the "Menu"-button in for about 10 sec. Then another menu will display, and there you can check the GPS status, and see if it have got signals for the satelites, (and s/n-numbers from them) |

First, Try antoher GPS Antenna and wiring. It's not expensive. And take a ride for about 30min.
If the problem isn't fixed, then you can try another Nav.comp.
