The Mk4 shuts down power after 60s of databus inactivity.
Databus inactivity occurs when the ign is off, all doors and windows and sunroof are closed, and the car is left alone.

You can observe this by leaving the boot open, and shutting elverthing else and locking the car. Use a stopwatch. Around 60s to 70s after the car is locked the Mk4 will shut down.

If it doesn't it indicates you have ongoing databus activity, you would need to monitor the databus to see what device is not shutting down (it may well be another device which is the issue)

It is not alive...... I think you even do not have GPS-Navigation in your menu...... In this case NavCoder will not see your navi as well.....

Did you try a total wipe of the SW and then a reload?

To totally re-write the flash memory, you must

1. Load V21 or earlier. This has a different memory map, will force a total re-write.

2. Then try it!

3. Then load V31 and try it.

This sequence will delete ALL settings - all address book entries, all coding, everything. Maybe it will help you.

If that doesn't help, read the nav diagnostic info using NavCoder and see if there is anything unusual...
