Help from the pros

I have the MKIV running SW 4-1/60, V26. Can I jump right to the latest V31? Or did I see V32 released?

Thanks.

When was V32 released? I wonder why it hasn't been posted yet for a download.

It's been posted that Ver. 32 is only good for the I-Drive e65/66 cars with the NAVI03 nav computers. You need Ver. 31.

Better would be to say:

V32 is good for all cars with Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, Mk4, NAVI01, NAVI02 and NAVI03 nav systems, but contains only updated (compared to V31) nav OS for the E65/E66 cars with NAVI03 systems.,

For all other systems, the OS versions on V32 are the same as on V31.

OK I think I understand. I have access to a V32 cd that's why I'm inquiring. If I understand this correctly the V32 will update my system with every new feature from every version update prior, it just doesn't have anything new, except for nav103 systems.I was just wanting the prospective mode and was hoping it would fix the bug of "terminate guidence". When I terminate guidence it continues, and the destination flag stays at the location until I enter a new address, even when turning the car on, off. Thanks everyone.

Nope It will not fix this - after "termination of guidance" you'll still have your destination flag and route to it but navi should not guide you with voice and etc...... Route disappers only after switching the ignition off....... And I mentioned as well that even after swithcing the ignition off distance to the previous destination and arrival time stays on the display till it goes to "0"

Your right. I always thought that was kind of wacky. I guess I'm used to the Nav in our Honda Odessey. One thing I wish the bMW nav;s had was a "joy stick" I think they call it where you can easily manually scan surroundings without having to scale the map out.

Just dragging up this old topic to ask a further question - I got rid of the X5 and now have a 2003 7 Series E66 with NAVI02. V32 (released June 2008) is the latest software for that system, although technically V31 was the last update that had an effect on NAVI02. If I read the SIB for V32, under "Checking the software version" after loading the update, it states that the software version should be 8.4.4. I've checked mine and it is indeed 8.4.4, but to my knowledge no nav software updates have been carried out previously.

With software version 8.4.4 showing, does that mean the system IS in fact up to date and that this has been done since 2008?
