Yes it's possible but does not have almost anything common with your navi - it will NEVER read VideoDVD

You need to buy DVD-player and connect it to Monitor AUX

Nice car, It looks like all the hard work has been done, the tv monitors are already in the headrests and the the seat back appear to have games console handsets in them, have a look in the rear somewhere and see if you can find the dvd palyer or games console.

BTW you won't be able to play dvd movies on the OEM nav dvd reader as its only for map discs of either dvd-rom or cd-rom.

It's a reader not a player.

DSP is just the type of audio amplification that the car has, with a bit of luck the car is already hooked up to the rear monitors and sound system.

Could be that you are writing the media to fast or that the map image is not for a bmw?

If you have OEM bluetooth, then the Nokia 6310i and the 6230i work perfectly.

HTH

P.S welcome to the forum.

The maps are 100% for BMW am sure from that, i will try again with the slowest possible, but what i have notices is that before i used to lable the DVD anything but when i labled it NAV_DB the Navi started to stay "No CD/DVD ..etc" as if there is no media and after waiting for a long time it says "Error reading.. etc"
i dont have bluetooth at all so how to start with it where to buy what model ..etc

How are you trying to write the map disc; from an image or a uncompressed copy of the map cd disc structure?

You should'nt need to mees about with naming the image or title the map disc, it should be already done, just copy the OEM disc with imgburn or similar (http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download).

Read a new image then write (burn) a new (blank) cd with the image you have just made.

If you don't have any BT at all, then you have a couple of options, dealer (expensive) bimmernav (good, but not cheap but cheaper than dealer), DIY or aftermarket like a parrot or nokia etc.

bimmernav
http://www.bimmernav.com/bmw_x5_bluetooth_retrofit.html

I did my own DIY OEM BT install here is a link http://tinyurl.com/3w5tm9

Connect DVD player AV signal to the AV-IN of the factory TV tuner. Some X5s have an AV socket in the rear of the centre console.

If you don't have the factory TV tuner, then consider fitting it (easy)

Or otherwise look for other BMW DVD Video input solutions (google is your friend)

i tried both from ISO using IMGburn to extract it into a DVDit gave me files extracted on the DVD i tried several speeds 16,8,2 useless the Navi keeps asking me to insert a CD/DVD as if there is no media again
and tried just burning the files directly to the DVD same results.
i would suspect the driver but i have the original maps for Canada & North Amareca and its working thats y i isloated the driver problem to be option
if u wish to try or verify the files check this link it contains the maps
http://www.mediafire.com/?kcnjx0ewmkk
and if it works i will send you the maps i have
