That is no good - it should be:
1 the existing UK as it is,
2 FR change to DK/UK mix,
3 DE not touched nor used
Or how will it know which UK to choose ?
There are 3 languages.
You can load any language in each of the 3 slots
So it loads language 1, 2 or 3
You then select language 1, 2 or 3

So you can set FR, UK(DK), DE if you want.

Or UK(DK), FR, DE

Or UK(DK), US, RU

Whatever you want, you have total freedom to select any desired language in any location

NavCoder allows you to select each locations language separately.

Yes, that I understand, but what if you set (if you can)
UK(to be modified to DK), UK, DE
That is UK twice !
When I then replace the UK voicefiles and edit the UK menu text
on the OS CD
wont it then change both the UK language options ?

No, because there are 3 x memory positions

You can load UK into memory 1, 2 and 3

When you change from position 1 to position 2, it will unload lang1, then load lang2. Even if both at UK, it still goes through the procedure.

OK I will give it a try, but I still don't see how it can know which UK to change when I upgrade with the modded OS.
Well - even if it does change both, it should then be no problem as I then would be able
to change one of the modded UK back to the original UK with NavCoder.

I then need an Ibus interface - right ?
Is it same that is used for other programs, like f.i. Carsoft, as I think it would
be a good idea to get one that can be used with all the programs, instead of having several.
Any good links to where to get one ?

Yes, you need an ibus interface

It is not a diagnostic interface, and is different to the interfaces that connect to the diag connector

See www.reslers.de or look at the circuit diagram in the Navcoder.zip file and build your own (simple)

Why spend money and buying the resler interface? OK if you dont have the paralell port on your computer and need a USB version. Im running my car PC and doing a lot of re-programming by the simple interface that is attached with Navcoder.
Have never failed so far...

DK540, keep us posted how it works with the language coding, I was thinking in the same way as you since I want to keep English and modd English as well. I modded French but then the SES just talk French and dont understand a shit I'm saying....:-)
+ all other messages in the IKE is also in French :-(

Hi Tobmag

I am not able to produce the PCB (the board), so need to buy it....
I'll keep you posted when I get to it
(can take a bit though! Have to get it first and figure out how to connect it to the car)
It is excatly what you experience I want to avoid - I don't want traffic messages, or any other stuff, to be in French or German.

OK - I don't see the PCB though
and making it yourself - as far as I recall (did such things 30 years ago) - requires chemicals
