Exclamation 2004 X5 w/ Navigation: Purchased w/o navigation module

Hello Everybody. I've tried searching for a thread that might cover this topic, but i was unsuccessful.

My girlfirend just purchased an 2004 X5, 3.0i that was set up to have a navigation system. The issue, is that she unknowingly went through the purchase without checking the navigation system ( i know, i know...), and when I checked it out, I found out that she is missing the navigation module in the back and the cd changer, and it seems like who ever took them out, cut the wires to do so.

Current Issues:

1. I'm trying to find out what is the best way to fix those cut wires (the nav unit and cd changer)

2. Once I try to purchase a MK4 unit, what are the most important things I should make sure (compatability wise) to check for so that I don't buy the wrong unit.

I will try to upload pictures in the next 24 hours. Thanks for the help.
