It depends not from the country but from the map.... means if the map for some country is exists - this will work....

I think that not even a map is necessary.
The software looks for POS near the current GPS location - so this also works offroad.

It does need the modded map disc as this holds the GPS targets, (so it knows that there is something in the area).

Sure - it needs the disc, but not the map/street information for the area with the POIs.

e.g. you could drive with a USA map disc in Canada and the POI alert will also work if you added POIs with GPS location in Canada.
