Look down the list of directories to find one called TPD, open it & look for another called NCCBEUFNM_EU_20081007 and open this.
I then deleted the directories FRE, ITA & SPA which reduced the image size (shown at the top of the screen) to 4429MB - small enough to get on a single layer DVD. Obviously, don't delete a language you want (I only wanted ENG)
Save the image as the same name you started with & burn to DVD.
That it!

Great very straightforward but wouldn't save as I was using trial version of UltraISO, Clear instructions though thanks

Just FYI
It looks like a TMC database was added for Czech Republic in High DVD map version 2009-1. When I put this new map in Mk4 yesterday, a lot of warning triangles appeared. But all triangles were with grey instead of red linings. The TMC radio station for whole country should be CR3 and Regina for capital Praha (Prag).

Wink

Yes, it works in CR! A lot of traffic messages received and can be listed! Long times closures, poor road conditions and even actual accidents appeared in the list. I just hope that this rehearsal transmission will end soon and it will go live with very actual data from January 2009.

Hi, I have got some problems with burn of DVD.

I'm using verbatim DVD+R DL and a burned with imgburn, alcohol 120%, dvd decrypter and not working. What I'm doing wrong? I burned one with imgburn that sometime works, but sometimes it says "wainting please" and crashes system. Thanks in advance and sorry about my english.

Assuming You are not trying to use DVD map in your "CD drive only Mk3 navigation computer" , so...

Always burn that image at THE LOWEST burn speed possible! You ussually cannot chose 1x speed on latest DVD burners but 2,4x. It is OK, use this speed. If You do, then...

Consider that maybe the problem is not in the way You burn the DVD image, maybe You have:

- Mk4 firmware older than 10.00 (SW 4-1/00) that does not support dual layer DVDs (honestly, I never tested DL DVD disks with older than 10.00 FW version - it may work though)

- dirty/poor condition DVD drive laser diode in Your Mk4 nav-computer (I had bad one. It read single layer DVDs reliably but DVD+-RW and dual layer with lots of errors or Please wait... messages. I replaced that Mk4 for another one that has now no problem even with DVD+-RW disks - disks with least reflection. )

To solve the problem You can follow these steps (from cheapest to most expensive):

1) update to FW version 10.00 to get DL support
2) clean Mk4 DVD laser diode
3) replace Mk4 DVD laser diode
4) replace Mk4 navigation computer

Hope it will help a bit.

Of course I have a Mk4

Yes I'm burning DVD's at 1x, 2x or 4x.
I have the same problem with DVD's of 2009-1 professional, used in Idrive system. Always Idrive system say "insert DVD"...

The firmware is V32 (10 in portuguese, made by me! with your help)

Can I clean DVD laser diode with cleaner CD?

It works very well with fugifilm DVD+R or DVD-R and with 2008-1 maps. I had asme problem with 2008-2 maps.

Thanks in advance for help.
