Question Can I play a dvd on my widescreen sat nav/tv?
I have a 2003 x5 and was wondering if you can play dvds on the system or what you would have to do to make it work?

Yes if you fit a DVD player. Connect the DVD player to the AV-IN of the TV

i have seen it somewhere that if you burn a dvd as a data disk it will work but i have not tried it yet you will have to let me know if it works

You need to have a video module (either an OEM one from BMW or an aftermarket interface) in order to have a DVD display on the nav screen.

AV-IN is either cabled to a socket behind the centre console - if fitted ex factory.

If not cabled then the AV IN needs to be cabled to the TV tuner which is in the spare wheel well of the X5
