wingburger is on a distinguished road
Hello again.

Incredibly enough, I managed to do it !!!

it was very easy following Brian and Jochen's advice to connect Rolf's ibus interface to the computer and to read the ibus activity. It worked first time to my surprise.

Then as you rightly said to use the navcoder is really a child's play. I managed to code TV on the move and also the widescreen to colour, changing the languages in the process and loading the car's vin.

The only problem I had was to load the OS V29 disk I had. It took me a long time and several attempts before I found out that the MK4 unit was lying upside down in the boot.... (don't laugh...)
Once this put right, everything came into place perfectly right. Even the Car dash display switched back to french.

I really am overwhelved by this navcoder and the ibus interface and cannot praise to highly Jochen and Rolf for having developped them .
Believe me this is worth evey cent it costs and even more.....

Again thanks everybody for your kindness and patience.

One final question if I may: Is the V32 a worthwile improvement on my current V29 for my system ?
