Problem with navigation

I have a navigation system 16:9 in my X5 2003 and I have one big problem!
When I put a DVD (copy) in navigation I can see the map, but my triangle (me) is always on the same position.Only it change the way, that manes that it turns correct, but it stays on the same position.
Is there maybe a problem because I put a copy DVD in DVD player?
I downloaded it from emule and burned it via nero image file and I also have tried with 5 different DVDs (all copy) and with 3 CDs (one were original too), but with no luck!

Does anyone have any suggestion how to fix that problem?
I also have new software installed and it is the same problem!

Thank you for all useful help!

What do you mean when you say it stays in the same position? Do you mean its the map that is moving and your triangle is static? If that is your problem, its actually supposed to be that way with the v26 update.

I meaned that my triangle is allways on the middle and it is all the time on the same position and it only rotate. Also the map is allways the same.So when I drive it shows as I am am standing.Only when I change the way it turns and that's all.

When I bought it I had some older software and than I upgraded it with 26 and it is still the same!

What happens when you use an original DVD instead of a copy?

Also, do you have green dots in the square box located in the upper right corner of the screen that shows how many GPS satelites you are picking up?

[IMG]No I haven't tried with original DVD.I downloaded image file from emule and than burned it on DVD- disc.

Yes I have green square on the right, but I think that my GPS can't find any satellites.Check on picture if you'll be able to find any mistake!

Thanx!

Matt, I have a bit of a different problem, where my navigation is pointing in the wrong direction. N shows up NW on my computer, and when I drive, it has me going in the wrong direction. Did you ever resolve your problem? If so, what did you do?

Brian

Matt - the fact that you don't have any green dots in the square box in the upper right corner is a clear indicator that you are not receiving GPS signals on the nav drive, which is why you aren't able to get navigational directions from the system.

First thing I would check is that the antenna is properly connected on the back of the nav drive. There are 4 bolts holding it into the rack. Remove them and carefully slide the unit out. There should be 2 plastic connectors and one small round metal connector going into the back of the drive. The small round metal one is the GPS antenna connector.

If that is connected properly then you may have a bad GPS antenna, which is located up in the rear spoiler.

What scale is your map set to when this happens? Is it less than 1 mile?
