Mark IV question
I recently upgraded my 750il to the Mark IV navigation computer, with a 16:9 screen. Everything works great except one thing. When the system (appears) to play sound notification for turns, etc, it comes through as only static. What would normally cause this? The Mark IV is currently coded French, British, and German with 4-1/00 OS (latest). I'd like to leave it this way, preferably. Any thoughts or ideas you have would be appreciated, as this is my first Nav system (my 96 doesnt have it). |

I would suggest you do a OS / language reload. Maybe the language file was corrupt?

I just hit your post over on the Bimmmerboard forum. Disconnect pin 18 on the blue nav computer plug.

An earth connection problem (pin 18) cannot affect selectively one of the three languages!

I did not catch that it was only one of the languages-- I thought it was all of the languages. I agree, if it is only one language, then the problem is probably the OS load. If it is all languages, then it is likely pin 18.
