Newest Nav DVD?
I have tried to do a search to find my answer but had no luck; my question is what is the newest Navigation DVD that will work with my X5? I just purchased a used 2006 X5 4.8is, it currently has software 4-1/60 loaded. I have read on some threads that the dealer should update my software for me since it is still under factory warranty. I have seen several people on ebay offering the 2009.1 navigation DVD for BMW and would like to know if that will work or if it is only compatible with the 2007 and up models, because my current DVD maps are way out of date. Thanks for the help!

Yes, you need to get your navigation OS updated for 4-1/00. You can easily do this yourself if your dealer won't do it for free.
Next, the current map DVD for your car is 2009.1. You can get this from most dealers or www.Navteq.com for $200.
