Navcoder problem.

I have a navcoder problem. When i open it up i get a out of stack space runtime error. If i unhook the ground, the error goes away and i can read the ibus doing things. but i cant read or code. please help.

This sounds like a ground loop.

Use the laptop on battery only, in the boot of the car.

No mains power.

And make sure the ibus interface is properly grounded

Make sure the ground on ibus is connected to the car. With just laptop and no ibus ground connection, the laptop has no ground, and the interface cannot convert the ibus signal properly.

Maybe you have an interface fault.

What interface are you using?

And did you ground to the vehicle chassis or the CD changer ground wire?
I've had some people report the CD changer ground wire does not give a good ground and data corruption results.
