SOFTWARE ONLY IN USA?

Hi I just talked to my dealer to see if they would do my software update for free and they said they checked my software and it is up to date. I checked and found out I only have version 25. He said maybe the new ones are not available in Canada. Is this true or was he mistaken? Thanks

The disk is not expensive at the dealer if you don't want to download it yourself. P/N 01 590 141 891. Ver.31 or 32 and it will put you at 4-1/100
(4-1/00).

Who exactly did you talk to? Service advisor, service tech, lead tech, or the service manager? As you go from left to right in that list, your odds of getting someone who knows about this type of request (or will at least look it up, rather than just saying it doesn't exist) gets better.

Dealerships get regular updates of software and data on CD and DVD. If things haven't changed, this will be in the monthly ATS shipment. The techs are more likely interested in the PROGMAN updates so they can fix problems with cars idling / shifting badly, and things like the NAV OS CD probably lay in the bottom of the box or get mis-filed. This is particularly true now that the cars they're selling need to be hooked up to the dealership diagnostic computer to do the update.

I talked with my service adviser and he said that they know what I am talking about now and will do it when I bring my X5 in next time.
