New to this and a dumb question about updates
I am just about to pick up an early 2001 X5. I think it has the MKI NAV system but it has never been updated. Is it just as simple as loading the V32, or what ever, disc in to the drive, as per the FAQ's? Or is there a NAV database update and an OS update too? Simple instructions would be really appreciated, Thanks |

If you are talking about just updating the maps, you can buy new CD's. If you are talking about updating the system (which I am pretty sure you are), I am sort of clueless, but there are many people here who know a lot about Nav systems that can point you in the right direction. Good luck and welcome!

http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all-...ystem-faq.html Next, if you have a 2001 X5, it most likely came with a MKIII nav computer. If you want updated map disks, go to NAVTEQ:.
