MK3 blank screen with white flickers! Help!

-I have an mk3 nav computer,Red LED does Not come on,Takes the disc seems like it,s reading it ,but screen is blank with white flickers.Help please,Any good solutions!? Florin

Either OS has failed, or no OS is loaded, or the unit is coded for a mono screen.

What's the history of the unit?

-I don,t know the history of the unit I bought it as- is,part nr. 65-90-6-920-758,Man. date Nov.2001 . Only the orange LED from Eject buttons comes on,I suspect this unit has corrupt software install on it,but not sure yeat .Florin

Since you don't know the history, and it was DOA, it is probably a bad unit.

-not sure if it is 100% bad I check the cd Assembly on another MK3 mother board and it,s working properly,so laser is 100% working just the mother board has "Loco-crazy" info on it.

-I have try to load V. 29 for aprox 10 min. ,I ve got the disc from someone else,It takes the disc it,s doing all over again reading sessions but still not update the system,also the eject comand does not respond ,i had to remove the plug from eject motor and remove the disc with an auxiliar power source.

Sounds like corrupt memory - only way to fix it is to send to VDO repair facility in Wetzlar Germany

-is it any way for you to identify the memory circuits from the board,or exact location on the board, i can see in the processor compartment 2 circuits made by Samsung that looks exactly like memory ,Samsung k4e641612d !?
