2002 X5 Sat Nav Problem

Hi I've got a problem with my nav system on my 2002 X5, directions come over the load speaker as interference only you can't hear the lady's voice. Could this be due to the fact the CD disc maybe a copy?

Unlikely. To test the voice generation, go into settings and alter the nav volume.

You should be able to clearly hear the voice saying "Louder" and "Softer" (or "Quieter" depending on whether you have US or GB English selected)

You can do this without a CD fitted.

the nav system works perfectly when the radio / cd is turned off directions can be clearly heard its only when the radio is on you get interference through the speakers when directios are given. Could there be anything wrong in the way the radio / cd is muted to allow for nav direction instructions.
