cheers,
Do you have a link or instructions to download the image that worked for you? I'd like to rule out the CD I have just in case.

Thanks.

Please note that the Mode is already determined in the image file.

You cannot deliberately change mode when burning an image - the image burning program should faithfully use the same Mode that the image file contains

So the above statement should read

"Make sure you use a Mode2 image file when burning your disc"

I've checked my CD and its reported as being a Mode2. Its still not actually doing anything when I put the CD in. It just shows the very basic style menu with TV and On-board computer as the only options (besides setting and monitor off).

Any help!???

sorry, i couldn't locate the link, try to google it "v32 mode2/form1 image", v31 would also work but the boot logo would not be the same as v32.

Don't use the same CD, the version on the CD should be higher than what you have as it will not detect it as new if you use the same version. i.e 6.3 > cd should be 6.4 this what i did on mine. (from V29.1 > V31 > V32) be patient to do the combinations which i have posted earlier, i've spent 2 to 3 days trying to figure this out.

Right its solved!

I had to use a different version since the mode1 3-1/63 must have partially loaded and prevented the mode2 3-1/63 from overwriting.

Used this post Xoutpost.com - View Single Post - MKIII OS version 3-1/63 from Angelych to overwrite with his 3-1/64 image.

For others, the process I followed is:
  1. Waited 20 mins with car off and nothing in CD drive.
  2. Turned car onto P1.
  3. Waited 5 mins.
  4. Inserted firmware CD (link above, burned with ImgBurn).
  5. Waited a few minutes and then software update screen appeared.
  6. Update took around 6-7 minutes. Spat CD out when done and asked me to remove CD from caddy and hit OK.
  7. Restarted and complained about no Nav CD.
  8. Inserted Nav CD.
  9. Vehicle position is incorrect. I've read it takes a little while to sort itself out.
Thanks to all for helping me out

How did you change it to 3-1/64, or is it already that version number?

Cheers!

Sorry for the late reply. Yes it's already 3-1/64.
