Exclamation GTK+ Runtime Environment !!

It works

I tried to change the icons with navtweak2.7 and it works.

Which version of the GTK runtime environment do you using ?
It does not work with GTK+ 2.12.9 !!!!

I have installed the gtk+ 2.14.6-1 win32 on my PC and with this one I don´t have problems to replace the icons.

Already a newer version GTK+ 2.16 is available since 02/2009

SourceForge.net: GTK+ for Windows Runtime Environment: GTK+ for Windows Runtime Environment

Still not burnt a new software CD only tried to replace the icons.

Replacing the icons is not the problem, saving after is.

I'm running GTK+ 2.16.2 and have tried GTK+ 2.16.1, I'll drop back to GTK+ 2.14.6-1 and try that, thanks for the heads up

P.S welcome to the forum

Since I work with Navtweak, I also encountered numerous crashes when saving the navboot file. I think this is a mood of Navtweak, e.g. it crashes, afterwards I try to do the same modifications again and it saves the file without an error. I also noticed that you should keep the swapped files as small as possible or at least not much bigger than the original ones. The biggest size difference is probably found at the splashscreen, so try to reedit it that it gets smaller (in filesize). I found a nice looking splashscreen on the internet which was about 60kB in size, after editing it's about 7kB and looks exactly the same, but now Navtweak crashes less. Also, I'm now saving navboot after every single modification (splashscreen, text strings, ...) as a new file so that I don't have to do all the mods again when Navtweak is not in the mood to cooperate

Hi Robert, It sounds like you did everything right...

Which file did you use? (ok, ignore, just seen which one), what do you have a mk3 or a mk4 and what version were you running before you tried the update.

I'm away from my computer files until monday, so you may need to install an OEM image to get the drive back up and running until we fix the problem.

I got the oem v32 to install. That went ok so I feel more confident that I can't fully screw it up. I got the screen up and it says 4-1/00, but everything is stuck in euro mode. Is there a way I can get out of euro mode without dealer help?

Thanks

I think that you can if you have navcoder, its not something I've come across before, I've upgraded, downgraded and never had a problem, try a quick search as this has been brought up before.

P.S sorry your having problems.

Yea I am really surprised it did it. The only thing I have seen about it so far is you have to have dealer code it back to USA under the x5 tips regarding eliminating the accept screen. I feel a lot better now that its not just showing me a black screen. I really thought this would go really smoothly. I started a new thread asking about getting out of Euro mode. Thanks.

Not off the top of my head, this one is one that was done first of all and has been extensively tested, the other ones were one off that I put up for others, I'll remove them as they are suspect.
