Im assuming the female connecter is the larger connector that houses the 3 male terminals. and there is two wires connected to each terminal in the female block?
Correct.

Are these all push fit connectors? or do the wires need soldering?
The connectors are push fit but I had to solder the leads together.

Don't know, it came with the pins attached, so I used that.

I got your parts list but will need to wire the USB interface with the compatible plug that fits onto one of male connections. Do I need 2 female connectors and 2 male connectors or do they not fit into each other

Left hand (the female plug) goes in the 3 pin cd plug, the top right goes into the cd and the one below connects to the to the interface, you can get another plug if yo like or you could omit the bottom one and just solder the interface to the lead.

The plugs (male and female), fit each other.

Awesome....my plan is to make up the adaptor like you have and leave it permanently connected. If i have the opposite connector on my usb interface i can just plug it in as and when required without having to disconnect everything and without having to leave the interface connected up permanently.

Hoping it arrives tomorrow so i can get my nav running in english once cameras are turned off.
Can you have GB set as first and second language ie GB GB or does it have to be GB US?

No, it will only accept 1 instance of any 1 language, so if you run gb female, you can also have gb male....

I have GB(f), USA(f) and Ger (f), if yoiu have downloaded my modded OS, then its all setup....
