Help BMW High DVD loading not responding
Hi,

I have copies of 2008.1 and 2009.1 I have burned with IMGburn at slow speed.
Load into 2006 X5 ver 27
Can see my location on map, will not zoom over 1 mile no map just location shows
Unable to load addresses in address book
Unable to drill down into POIs, get to main category but not details
unable to add a destination, can select country only.
I have searched and could not find a thread to help.
Any ideas?

Make sure you have the current version OS on the naz.

Check top right of Settings screen - current version is 4-1/100, which displays as 4-1/00

If you have anything older, first update the OS, as some of the newer maps only work with the latest OS versions

Upgraded to V32 all good there. Still unable to read DVD used IMG burn at 2.4X TDK DVD+R shows local location and that is all. The Verbatum DVD -R do not work at all with same burn. Suggestions.

so how do you upgrade to the newer version. i have a 2006 x5 and i bought new map DVD but it does not work with my system. what do i have to do to make this work. thanks for your help guys im new with all this.

Does anybody have an idea why you can see your current location but other data will not show up? Bad media, different media another burner? What has worked for other people? TIA

Weak, tired and old laser.
May be able to read stamped DVDs OK, but not copied DVDs (amount of reflected light is lower on a copied DVD)

Solution:
Use original stamped DVDs until the laser finally fails completely, OR

Replace laser (or entire mechanism) with a new one and then it'll read copied DVDs happily.

thats the number thats on the dvd its self its the 2007.2

anyone want to buy it? make me an offer.

You bought the wrong one for your car. You have an E53 X5, that one is for the E70's.
