anyone ever remove the cover of the nav screen?

looking to remove the cover of my 16:9 screen so i can respray it black. it is a little worn and i want to make it perfect before my retrofit. it looks like it should come off (has some tab type indentions on the sides). anyone ever try it?

Are you wanting to take the whole cover off the display? Looks like it pops off.
