MKIII need help with upgrade
I tried to upgrade my 16:9 MK3 SATNAV and basically I did everything wrong  ....., I burned the V32 version with Alcohol and start upgrading and of course goes bad  ...., CD stacks, and all the stories.... But I have really different nice blue screen  , few new functions, apart from the SATNAV..... I found the way how to take the CD out, thanks to this web site...., how to burn the CD in Mode 2 and make the proper upgrade......  But I have the same screen as before when I started upgraded, where is the nice blue one ? And the system asked about map disc, so should I put the old one back or is the way to have a newest one? My current is 2004-1. And if I will use the old disc will the system work, or will make some kind of downgrade?Sorry for my language.... Thanks for any advice....

The blue screen is the screen generated by the TV tuner, and this only apears when the nav has crashed, or when no nav is fitted.
To check the nav software version, look at the top right hand corner of the Settings screen. The last version ever made for the Mk3 is 3-1/63 -- there is no newer version As for the map disc, if you want a newer map disc you must buy one. Visit your BMW dealer to obtain the newest map disc. Remember: the Mk3 can only read CDs, it cannot read DVDs.
