That would be great!! Thanks again.

Great thanks!!! I can't wait to install this.

Are there any special instructions to install this, burn file to a CD or DVD? Have the keys in the ignition and load the disc into the Nav drive?

I can't wait to see how it looks!!!

I use imgburn (The Official ImgBurn Website).

Skip if you have your own burner.
Download and unzip, install imgburn, then v32 image and then open imgburn, and select the "write image file to disc" then select the modded.iso(i think) file.
--

Select the write speed as x1 (or the slowest rated speed for the disc, you must do this) and then burn on a good quality cd.

When its finished writing your new firmware cd,
Go to the car open the drivers door,
Go to the nav computer and press eject on drive,
Eject the map disc,
Switch ign to pos 1, leave door open.
Insert firmware disc into drive, follow instruction on nav screen.
Wait (approx 6 mins) till sat nav asks to eject cd and reboot.
Eject cd,
Confirm reboot.

That's it.

Do not switch off ignition or close the door when doing the upgrade.

Installed!

I saw the United Badge for a second as I walked back from inserting the nav dvd. I tried turning the car off and on again to see splash screen, but it went straight to the nav map. Is this normal? How long do I need to wait before it will show the splash screen between start ups?

The night mode is cool, does it work best in 3D perspective or normal?

Also I would like to tip you for your help, PM me your paypal account email and I'll send some $$ for your help.

*How often should I upgrade my streets dvd? I have a 2007, if I buy a new one will it affect my software?

Could you do one for me with a Rover splash screen. SO v32 with night mod and updated splash and POIson enabled.

I want to upgrade my new Mk4 but having never done it before I think I would prefer to use one that you have created.

Normally 10-15 minutes, the splash is only shown when the i-bus starts up and give the nav unit a kick, it then disappears once the it's fully booted.

I think Perspective mode personally, the only drawback (mostly for US owners) is the lack of street names (in nightmode), but for me this is not a problem.

There is really no need mate, but if you feel you must PM me.

It won't effect your nav system in any way, but here in europe we get 2 maps a year (1 new and 1 update), and its best to have the ewer ones as new roads and modifications take place all the time, you in the US however only get 1 a year so go with that.

I have noticed that when I switch to night mode that a majority of the "ground" stays the same color as day mode. Only small pockets turn the darker color. The streets and the distance key does change. Is this normal?
