Hello All
First I want to say what a lot of info on this site wauw!! ![]() After a lot of reading and trying I still can't figure out what my problem is, I have an e39 with mk3 nav in it and I'm trying to change the lng to dutch by renaming the dutch file file from nl_f to d_f in langmk3/501, so far no problem I use the mode2 day/night V32 image from ccfj1 and updated my mk3 and that worked ok (great that nightview colouring b.t.w.) I've opend the bin with ultra iso and changed e.g. the splash screen and then clicking "save" it saves the file to mode1 I've also tried to save all the files to a dir. and then use m2cdgui to make it mode2 again and burn it, but it still doesn't work the mk3 keeps saying put in a correct software cd (I use navcoder and i-bus interface to trigger the lng changes) What the heck am I doing wrong I've burnt a lot off coasters lately Hope someone can help me Thanks Frans |

To KiwiJochen's method: I open a mode2/Form1 image in Magic ISO, extract files to modify, use navtweak, add modified files back into Magic ISO and simply save as suggested to maintain mode2/Form1. The image is indeed saved as mode2/Form1 but it never works in my MK3. The disc does NOT get stuck though (like a mode1 disc). I have to end up loading and older image that always works. What the heck am I doing wrong?! I'm about to ditch this mod! lol Brian

FYI, I just tried mode2cdmaker on my work machine. The program works fine...so my home PC needs a tune up! If I get time I'll try to make a modified image here at work and test it.

The name of the output file is to long, that why you get this error.

I tried "v32" with a volume name of "NAV_SW"? It failed at work as well. :S
So it's not my home computer after all. Funny thing is when I try to dump random files and folders in the program to get it test it works. But it fails immediately with the real NAV extracted files...

Ahhhh. I think I figured out what you are saying. I moved the extracted image structure to the root of my C: drive since the path name would be pretty short. Before, I had the directory on my Desktop so invariably the PATH to the extracted image ended up really long. Image was made without error. I'll test it in my car in a bit.
Thanks for the help! Brian

To know how it should be set, record the TOC settings and the file system settings of an original Mode2/Form1 ISO before you start playing with it. |

I actually got it working using the mode2cdmaker method! ccfj1, if you don't mind and have a little time...do you have any tips in regards to colors? I'm only interested in changing the interface colors, not the nav. The nav is your dark modified one. ![]() Which parameters should I start with? I see a TON of color settings but have no idea where to start. This would REALLY be nice if we have an emulator of sorts.

Hi guys,
just joined this site. So I have a E46 325 i and crashed my cd based MK3 which had 3-1/50. Now that I know that I need to burn the cd using mode 2, can someone please post fresh links to download 3-1/63 and also help me with other softwarres required to burn the cd on a Macintosh? Thanks much folks... |
