Put it in your laptop and check with properties for dates. I am not computer literate but have found the dates there.

There is, open the dvd on the dvd drive (pc) and extract the cdrom.toc file from the top level, if it's the 2009-1 NA it will have these details.
Continental Automotive GmbH Content Volume: CD_6565 Date: 13.8.2008 db: NA(2007Q3) Area: North America Supplier: Navteq Version: 505.19.735.2.84 Customer: 318766610 Features: ZIP3kb feaV10(BMW) TPD: 2008080003 SVD: TMC: 20080721 Phoneme: yes DBAL: V1.15V2.13V3.0V4.8V5.6V6.1V7.1 Date is in format (DD/MM/YYYY) and is on a par with the release date for Euro discs.

I'm looking on 2 different dvd's and neither of them have a cdrom.toc file. One dvd is the oem 2002-1 Navteq dvd and the other is the one I am trying to get version info on. Both dvd's work, but again, neither have a cdrom.toc file. Probably because cdrom.toc only exists on a CD and these are DVD's. What can I do now?

The info above is from the 2009-1 NA HIGH DVD mate and is in the top (root) dir of the DVD.
If you don't have this file then it's not the right disc.

Let's try this: Here is the root of my current, working DVD. As you can see, cdrom.toc does not exist. I suggest that the reason is because you have the cd version of the map burned onto a dvd. At any rate, cdrom.toc does not exist anywhere on either of my 2 dvd's, and they both work perfectly. So... what now?

![]() This has been tested in both the USA and Canadian Mk4 nav computers and works. The format that you have is pre 2007/2008, navteq changed the format of the disc so that it has a similar layout to the PRO disc layout. Sorry mate I can't help anymore.

Have a look in the ABSTRACT file that will give you the details of the disc you have.

I'm going to guess that whatever you downloaded from the internet was misrepresented.

I'll check the abstract file and report back. I know it's definitely not the 2009 dvd I just want to know what version it really is. Does anyone wanna be nice and upload an iso somewhere of the true 2009-1 NA HIGH version?
